Today marks an exciting new step for Soundcheck with the release of version 1.5 of our iOS app.

This update brings numerous changes and improvements to the iPhone version, but the biggest change is that Soundcheck now fully supports iPad.

Soundcheck on the larger screen offers a whole new way to browse live music near you, taking full advantage of the bigger screen on offer. Soundcheck displays an personalised selection of upcoming events nearby for you to explore and share with your friends. When you find a gig that you’d like to learn more about simply tap it and you’ll be taken straight to the gig page for that event.

From here you can buy tickets, save the event to your calendar, get directions, see who else is attending, discover support acts and share the gig with your friends. You can even discover more events by the same artist or events at the same venue with just a single tap. Discovering local live music is easy with Soundcheck.

Not only can Soundcheck help you discover new gigs and events to go to, but it also offers you the chance to build your own ‘Gig Profile’ with a history of the events you’ve been to, your favourite venues and artists and the ability to upload and share your best photos from the gig right within Soundcheck. These photos will then be added to the events gig page for everyone to enjoy.

Your profile is the very heart of Soundcheck. With every gig you attend, Soundcheck gets smarter and learns about your tastes. This means that recommended gigs will become more intelligent and relevant over time.

Soundcheck if completely free to download and currently works across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
